Join ORiS and help build the future of energy in space.

At ORiS, we are pioneering the next generation of In Orbit Servicing.

Our mission is to redefine how energy is generated and utilized in space through the development of an orbital power grid, with the purpose of transmitting energy to other satellites and recharging them.

We are looking for a CEO Associate to work as a direct extension of the CEO, taking ownership of much of the operational and analytical work that today sits with the CEO, preparing documents and presentations, reading and understanding the numbers in financial plans and business plans, and thinking through growth strategy and business development.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who is as comfortable building a board-ready deck as they are reading a financial plan critically or shaping a growth strategy, someone who combines strong execution, business judgement, and technological curiosity, and who can turn needs into clear outputs.

This is a role that offers extremely rapid and significant growth and can lead to a rapid evolution in ORiS.

What You Will Do

Direct support to the CEO

  • Prepare high-quality documents, presentations, and decision-support materials for the CEO like board decks, investor materials, internal reports, and strategic memos.

  • Read, analyze, and stress-test financial plans and business plans (BP): understand the underlying assumptions, key numbers, and metrics well enough to flag issues and support decision-making.

  • Support the CEO in shaping growth strategy and business development, from market and competitor analysis to partnership and commercial opportunities.

  • Manage research, meeting preparation, follow-ups, and special projects across strategic, operational, and organizational priorities.

  • Translate decisions and discussions involving the CEO into clear actions, owners, deadlines, and internal communications.

  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring critical actions, relationships, and company priorities are properly tracked.

What We Are Looking For

  • BSc or MSc in Economics, Management, Finance, or related fields, from a top-tier programme.

  • Up to 2 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity/VC, or a startup role working closely with founders or senior leadership.

  • Strong financial literacy: able to read, build, and challenge a financial plan or business plan: P&L, cash flow, unit economics, and key growth metrics.

  • Excellent skills in building executive-level documents and presentations to a professional, board and investor-ready standard.

  • Sharp business judgement: able to think critically about growth strategy, market positioning, and business development opportunities.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and keep the CEO's commitments and follow-ups on track.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Italian a strong plus), able to represent the CEO with investors, partners, board members, and internal teams.

  • High discretion, judgement, and trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information.

  • Proactive, hands-on, highly autonomous, and comfortable operating with tight deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience directly supporting a founder, CEO, or senior executive (e.g. chief of staff, executive/founder's associate).

  • Exposure to fundraising processes: data rooms, due diligence, investor materials.

  • Genuine interest in space and deep-tech.

  • Familiarity with generative AI tools to boost personal and team productivity.

Why ORiS

  • Work on innovative satellite missions and advanced space technologies

  • Collaborate with highly skilled professionals across multiple disciplines

  • Grow professionally within a fast-growing and ambitious space company

  • Be part of a culture driven by innovation, ownership, and technical excellence

Our Offer

  • Salary Range: € 30.000 to €40.000

  • EUR 1.000 per year in fringe benefits

  • EUR 8 meal vouchers per working day

  • Flexible smart working arrangements, subject to project needs
